Michael Bisping’s son suffered his first MMA loss.
At 25 years old, Callum Bisping, son of the UFC Hall of Famer and commentator, is just beginning his MMA journey. A former collegiate wrestler at San Francisco State, Bisping decided to follow in his father’s footsteps last year, making his amateur MMA debut with a unanimous decision win in December. Bisping followed that up with the first finish of his career in April, scoring a first-round TKO, but over the weekend, Bisping tasted defeat for the first time, getting knocked out by John McCain at Sundown 2 in Los Angeles.
McCain and Bisping fought for the Sundown amateur catchweight championship, and in the second round, McCain stuffed a takedown attempt from Bisping before putting him against the fence and unleashing a barrage of punches that sent Bisping to the canvas and forced the referee to intervene.
