LFA champ Lucas Fernando books UFC 330 debut against ‘Bipolar’
LFA light heavyweight champion Lucas Fernando has signed with the UFC and will make his octagon debut on Aug. 15 against Rafael Tobias, multiple people with knowledge of the booking confirmed the news to MMA Fighting. UFC 330 will take place at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia.
Fernando (13-3), who once fought on Dana White’s Contender Series with a loss to Cesar Almeida, now joins the UFC as the reigning LFA 205-pound champion and former middleweight titleholder. The 29-year-old is riding a four-fight winning streak with back-to-back first-round knockouts in recent title bouts.
“Bipolar” Tobias (14-2) earned a deal with the UFC after tapping out Jair de Oliveira on DWCS in 2025, but came up short in his UFC debut with a decision loss against Diyar Nurgozhay this past March.
UFC 330 will be topped by two championship bouts, with Islam Makhachev and Mackenzie Dern defending the welterweight and strawweight titles, respectively, against Ian Machado Garry and Gillian Robertson.
