Charles Oliveira puts the “BMF” title up for grabs when he meets Diego Lopes in the main event for UFC 335 on Dec. 12 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The UFC announced the new matchup on Saturday.
A former lightweight champion, Oliveira captured his second UFC title when he thoroughly dominated Max Holloway back at UFC 326 in March. Rumors swirled that Oliveira was potentially coming back sooner but now he’s ready to fight and defend his “BMF” title for the first time.
Meanwhile, Lopes gears up for his lightweight debut against one of the most accomplished fighters in UFC history.
A two-time title challenger at 145 pounds, Lopes has been teasing a move up in weight for some time and now he’ll get his chance with an opportunity to add the “BMF” title to his resume.
Oliveira vs. Lopes headlines UFC 335 alongside Alex Pereira making his second appearance at heavyweight when he faces Sergei Pavlovich in the co-main event.
