Dana White confirms Michael ‘Venom’ Page’s tenure with the UFC is over

Michael “Venom” Page is back on the market.

This past Saturday, “MVP” took on Nursulton Ruziboev in the featured bout of UFC Paris, winning a lackluster unanimous decision. Entering the fight, it was the final bout on Page’s UFC contract, and now, it appears it was the last one, period.

On Monday, news broke that the panelists for the UFC media rankings were notified that Michael Page had been removed from the UFC roster following his win over Ruziboev, and on Tuesday night, following the latest episode of Contender Series, UFC CEO Dana White confirmed that the UFC had no intention of re-signing him.

“That was his last fight on his contract,” White said. “I don’t think we’re signing him, no.

“What’s the confusion? I think it’s been pretty clear that he wasn’t being re-signed, and that he would be taken out of the rankings, because he’s no longer on the roster.”

A former Bellator interim title challenger, Page joined the UFC in 2024, but despite his impressive 5-1 record during his tenure, “MVP” never quite seemed to get on the same page with the UFC. Page bounced between weight classes and turned in several underwhelming performances. Heading into UFC Paris, Page said he wanted to remind the UFC why they signed him in the first place, but delivered another tepid showing instead, even by his own admission.

The 39-year-old British fighter now enters free agency riding a four-fight winning streak and sporting a 26-3 MMA record overall.
