Tony Ferguson books Misfits Boxing title defense

Tony Ferguson is heading back to the Misfits Boxing ring, and will do so in just a few weeks.

The promotion announced that Ferguson defends the Misfits middleweight title against Kenzo Biyong at their Sept. 26 event, which takes place at the James L. Knight Center in Miami and streams on DAZN.

Ferguson captured the interim middleweight title with a stoppage victory against Salt Papi at Misfits 22 in August 2025 — his first combat sports win in over six years. The former UFC interim lightweight champion was promoted to the undisputed champ following a unanimous decision victory over Warren Spencer at Misfits Mania this past December. Since then, “El Cucuy” has competed once in 2026, losing via tech fall to Arman Tsarukyan at RAF 10 in June.

Biyong, a former pro soccer player, transitioned to the jiu-jitsu world, and competed at UFC BJJ 7 in April, losing via submission to Raphael Ferreira.

The Misfits Boxing card is headlined by a boxing match between former two-division UFC champ Henry Cejudo as he faces Deen the Great.
