Biaggio Ali Walsh nearly had to leave PFL Austin in a wheelchair.

On Saturday, Walsh took on undefeated prospect Gamid Khizriev on the prelims of PFL Austin, and unfortunately, things were almost catastrophic for Muhammad Ali’s grandson.

Khizriev wasted no time against the boxer-turned-MMA-fighter, scoring takedowns almost at will. Walsh did his best to defend and get back to his feet, but it wasn’t long before Khizriev found his way to the back, where he locked in a body triangle. From there, Walsh tried to turn into the triangle, but Khizriev uses his legs to prevent the turn, putting Walsh into a modified twister, that forced him to tap just 2:32 seconds into the first round.

After Khizriev let go of the submission, there was a scary few moments where Walsh appeared to be genuinely injured, laying on Khizriev’s leg and grimacing in pain. Eventually, Walsh got to his feet and appears to have avoided major injury at least.

Check out the gnarly scene below.
